Translating as ‘Gold’ in Arabic, Dahab is a place of unique beauty, surrounded by world class coral reefs, beautiful beaches, rugged mountains & the vast desert landscapes. Formerly a Bedouin fishing village, this sleepy town is situated on the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula. Dahab has so much to offer, choose to relax at one the many restaurants & cafe’s on the waters front, dive in the fantastic coral reefs, participate in watersports/activities, explore the surrounding landscapes or join one of the many ‘Wellness’ concepts that are all the rage!

7 nights bed & breakfast, two yoga classes per day with one free day in the week. Return airport transfers from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport can be organised for £30 each way. Taba Border return transfers are available for £50 each way.
There are two Sivananda yoga classes per day, each lasting one and a half hours at 08:00 and 17:00 with one free day per week. Sivananda is a soft, gentle style of Hatha yoga. Each class incorporates pranayama, asanas, stretching, and meditation and is tailored to the individual needs of each student.
Born in Scotland, she began her yoga studies in London and from there went to the Sivananda Ashram in Val Morin Canada to study with Swami Vishnudevananda in the Sivananda style of teaching yoga. “Having taught for over 50 years I teach from my experience and understanding of the human body that I have gained over this time. Each person is an individual and this is how I teach. Once I start to work with people I can intuit what each individual needs, everybody is different".
Barbara spends her time between Gozo & Dahab, lucky to be able to teach her students in these beautiful locations! She will be assisted on the holidays by the amazing Monica Farrell & Ahmed Babaji who will be offering Ayurvedic consultations & treatments throughout the holiday.
Monica has been teaching with Sunra Yoga for more than 15 years. Her classes help you release stress, build fitness and positive energy, and remove blocks to present moment contentment and joy. Her classes are appropriate for all levels as Monica meets you where you are in the moment. Self care, love and introspection permeate the flow of poses and breath and bring you to peace within.
Monica did her Teacher Training in India with Saraswati Academy in 2003. She went back to India annually for many years studying Healing, Vendanta and Meditation with renowned teacher Guruji Mohan. Her training is based on the Sivananda System of yoga but incorporates many other styles including: Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Scaravelli and Intergral Yoga.
Ahmed, aka Babaji, is a holistic practitioner, a Yoga and meditation teacher, an Ayurvedic and Panchakarma therapist, a writer and a poet.Over many years he studied Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra in India and Nepal with many years of experience working with groups and individuals.
Yoga came to him more than 14 years ago and since then he has been exploring and deepening his Yoga practice and experience leading him to the Himalayas where he met his teacher and his mentor in a Himalayan Ashram. Later Ayurveda came to him and he received his certified training in an Ayurvedic clinic and Panchakarma centre in Varanasi, India. Shortly after his path led on to the Tantra and he received initiation and training in the school of Sri Vidya in a Tantric temple in South India.
Besides the three cannons: Yoga, Ayurveda, and Tantra, he received training in Integral Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Transcendental meditation, Vipassana meditation. His interest in Holistic Healing & Spirituality arouse from a deep and personal need for Self-healing, and since then he has been exploring eastern & western philosophy, religion, literature, ancient wisdom & practices (Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, Tantra, Kundalini, etc...) in order to find the right prescription for transforming every day life into A more harmonious, peaceful & happy life. His goal is to help people achieve that.

The Dahab yoga holidays take place at The Bedouin Moon Hotel, situated on a quiet beachfront a short distance north of Dahab's Asallah village. The Bedouin Moon is a small and friendly hotel, with simple but comfortable rooms.
All rooms have A/C with either a balcony or terrace, en-suite and either sea or mountain views. Sunra Yoga is now delighted to offer the addition of three stunning superior rooms. The swimming pool has the best poolside views in Dahab, from where you can see the whole bay, the stunning scenic mountains behind you and Saudi Arabia in the distance in front of you.
The hotel has a magnificent custom built yoga room making your yoga practice special & inspirational. It is built into the foot of the mountain in the grounds of the hotel giving it a cave like ambiance, which is perfect for yoga practice considering yogis have been meditating in caves since yoga started over 4,000 years ago.
Daily brunch is included in the price. There is a restaurant serving a reasonably priced and wide range of middle eastern and European dishes, vegetarians & vegans are well catered for.
There are many restaurants in Dahab with every cuisine imaginable served, from falafels to hummus, barbecue grilled fish and meats, fresh pasta to sushi. The prices are very reasonable and you will be recommended to the best places.
